•  All currently qualified Division Instructors are expected to attend minus the Stateside members.  Please plan on arriving NLT 23:00, 8 Oct 2010

•  The Instructor Handbooks available on the OET-Alpine Page are required reading BEFORE the clinic.  Attendees are expected to have a working knowledge of the material so as to teach elements of the skills involved in training Basic Ski and/or Snowboard candidates.

•  There will be evening training sessions at the Hotel after dinner.   Last season's OTH Candidate Survey results will be briefed.  Instructor Handbooks, procedures and forms review will also occur. So, please keep your libation intake under control.  Everyone needs to stay coherent.

 •  It is a great mentoring opportunity for patrollers who are interested in becoming an Ski or Snowboard OTH instructor.

Recruiting new members is an ongoing, year-round process, not just in the month of August as the Division Calendar indicates.  Candidates can be brought into the "fold" and begin their training exposure "out of cycle".  As long as they know that up front, there should not be an issue with keeping their expectations real.  That interest and curiosity is what caused them to seek us out in the first place.   Let's keep the enthusiasm alive!

ASAP - New Line Staff Officers:   If you're newly elected into a Line Staff position (Patrol, Region or Division Director), make sure to process an Officer Change Form through the Division Registrar for forwarding to the National Office.  Forms are available on the "For Division Members" page.

You're also entitled to a Line Staff Officer indoctrination briefing from the Division Director or the Asst Division Director.  Ask for it ASAP.
Patrol Directors - Check the Division Registrar's page for info that is critical to your Patrol registration cycle.

ASAP - Patrol Directors:  As a check and balance for the Division database and your Patrol's organization web page information integrity, it is necessary to annually update/resubmit your Patrol Officer/Position Roster to the Division Registrar and the Division Webmaster.  It's a protected Word .doc that is completed by merely tabbing through each field of information.  Consider it a living document.  Keep it current and resubmit it whenever changes to your position roster occur.

Line Staff:  The Awards Program Administrator's Page has details and timelines for award submissions.  Here's the opportunity to recognize the efforts of the people that have done great things.

Patrolling support to the Edelweiss Lodge & Resort (ELR)   See the Garmisch Patrol Page for info on the how to conduct yourselves while performing this very important function.  The 11 Nov 2007 Agreement details what ELR will provide, what the Division will provide and participating patroller compensations.  Keep in mind, you are European Division ambassadors of the NSPS and your conduct reflects greatly on the entire organization.
