Generic Division registration procedures are outlined
in paragraphs 4.1-4.6 of the
Division Policy & Procedures Manual.
Procedures specific to each registration year:
• •
Division
Registration Instructions
• •
Registration
Transmittal Form
• •
National Registration Guidelines
•
Patrol Directors are ultimately responsible for all
facets of their Patrol's registration process.
•
Always consult with the Division Registrar, if there
ANY questions, problems or issues. No excuse
is valid for late submissions!
•
Line Staff: All membership related documentation is
sent to the Division Registrar. The Registrar
will forward it to the National Office for you.
This practice will help keep our Division database
up to date. |
|
Online Registration System -
National is in the final stages
of testing and updating pertinent information.
Please remind your Patrol
Representatives/Registration Coordinators to
continue to gather and update their patrol
information manually, as before, until the online
system is available.
For the moment,
the payment procedure is not expected to change.
Expect to provide one check to National for 2010
annual membership registration dues and one check to
the European Division for 2010 annual membership
registration dues. |
|
Patrol Directors/Registrars:
Don't wait for the completion of the annual YES/NO
roster re-registration process to send in candidate
forms to the Division Registrar. New member
/ candidate registration forms and checks need to
be processed ASAP so your candidates are loaded
into the National system. NSPS members are
covered under the National insurance policy when
in a sanctioned NSP training mode. This is
particularly important for ski skills screening
at the annual November OTH Refresher. |
|
Patrol Directors/Registrars: All
registration forms are available on the
For Division Members page. A new Division
addition to the registration process is the
European Form 16, Patroller Information Sheet.
-
All new members and patrollers transferring into
the Division need to fill out this form.
The Euro 16 form is not only the initial information
feed to the Division Database, but
can be used for
any purpose to update the Division database.
- It is easily done by anyone who can open
the document with Adobe Reader.
-
It is not necessary for the PD to handle the data
as it gets sent direct to the Registrar to enter
into the database and can be done by anyone just
to update their change in phone number, email
or mailing address. This form is a bit easier
to get new member data into the database and faster
than waiting for the official NSP membership form
to get sent in by the PD. It also contains
more info that is relevant to the Division than
the official NSP membership form. |
|
ASAP - Patrol Directors: Make sure
you input the appropriate Classification Change
paperwork to upgrade your candidate's status to
either Auxiliary Patroller or Alpine Patroller.
Send these documents to the
Division Registrar who will in turn forward
to the National Office on your behalf. Forms
are available on the
"For Division Members" page. |
|
ASAP - New Patrol Directors: If you're newly
elected into the Patrol Director position, make
sure to process an Officer Change Form through the
Division Registrar
for forwarding to the National Office. Forms
are available on the
"For Division Members" page. |
|
ASAP - Patrol Directors: As a
check and balance for the Division database and your
Patrol's organization web page information
integrity, it is necessary to annually
update/resubmit your
Patrol
Officer/Position Roster to the
Division Registrar and the
Division Webmaster.
It's a protected Word .doc that is completed by
merely tabbing through each field of information.
Consider it a living document. Keep it current
and resubmit it whenever changes to your position
roster occur. |

Division Liability
Release Form -
Euro Form 10, Liability Release Form, with the
scrutiny of the Division Legal Counsel has changes
made to it effective 1 October 2007.
• Effective immediately,
the Liability Release Form is completed by all candidates
during the registration process and members in a training
status in any NSPS sanctioned course where the participant is
subject to strenuous or dangerous activities. Courses
include but not limited to, OEC, Basic and Senior OTH training,
Avalanche, and MTR, to name a few.
• Forms are maintained by
the Patrol Director for Patrol level OEC and OTH training.
The Instructor of Record in coordination with the Discipline
Program Supervisor maintains release forms for all other
activities. This form (zip file) is available on the
"For Division Members" page. |
